The Zaragoza of Goya

The figure of the genial Aragonese painter is linked to Zaragoza. Francisco de Goya y Lucientes was born in Fuendetodos, a small village near Zaragoza. The house where he was born can still be seen in that village and it has been declared National Historic Monument. Several of his paintings can be seen in Zaragoza. Some of these outstanding pieces can be found in the Basilica of the Pillar domes, as well as several engravings and portraits of distinguish noble and political figures of that age distributed among different museums in the city.
